Program: "Textile Preservation"

The Computer Genies genealogy club will meet at 1:30 on Saturday, June 7^th, at the Le Mars Public Library meeting room. Speaker will be textile and clothing historian, Grace Keir, of the Blue Earth County Historical Society, Mankato, Minn.  Keir will explain how to preserve historical textiles including quilts, linens and clothing.  She will also be glad to try to date textiles that attendees may bring to the meeting.  If anyone has a photograph of people wearing distinctive clothing, she may also be able to date the photograph.  The program will be followed by a lunch and short business meeting.
