Program: "Church Histories"

The regular April meeting of the NW Iowa Computer Genies will be held in the LeMars Public Library on Saturday April 3, 2010, at 1:00 pm. All members and guests are invited.

We will start with a review of web sites that offer cemetery records and head stone pictures that can be very useful in your genealogical research. We will also discuss how to add your own records and pictures to benefit other researchers or just as a memorial tribute to a loved one.

Madeline Meyer will then present a program on German Methodists in the 19th Century and their influence on North West Iowa community development and culture. She notes that West Mar College was founded by German EUB’s. She would also like to have input from the membership on their experiences with the influence of churches in your own communities.
